(May Contain Spoilers)
This episode was quite boring, I felt myself becoming more distracted whilst watching and not as invested, despite Villanelle’s (Jodie Comer) adventure to London and confronting Eve (Sandra Oh) and having a fight on a public bus. I think as this series so far is set in London it doesn’t feel as adventurous as the other series have been and being from London its quite boring to see the same surroundings on TV. This episode revealed that Kenny (Sean Delaney) was looking into the 12’s accounts finding that the last one was active a few months ago, but since then has had 6 million taken from it. Charles (Aidan Kelly), the accountant, meets with Konstantin (Kim Bodnia) to ask for 6 million and it has been stolen, however by the look on his face it was him and I’m guessing I was right as Villanelle is sent to kill him.
What We Learnt:
Villanelle kills a woman with a tuning fork as well as the Nanny (Elisabeth Bonjour)
Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) is investigating Kenny’s murder, looking at his autopsy notes whilst she is having a bath
Carolyn, Mo (Raj Bajaj), Jamie (Danny Sapani) and Eve have a meeting to discuss Kenny’s murder
Villanelle stole the baby and Dasha (Harriet Walter) puts the baby in the bin creating chaos in the background while Villanelle is given an assignment to go to London
Eve is in Kenny’s office and they unlock his hard drive, finding the accounts called Panda
Konstantin meets with Charles to discuss the missing 6 million from the bank account from the 12
Villanelle goes to London and goes to a perfume shop to make a perfume
Carolyn goes to a bar and bumps into“ Henrik (Alexander Hanson) and they go for dinner and she talks to him about working for a Geneva bank
Eve goes to Carolyn’s and they find out that Charles is the owner of the Geneva account
Villanelle takes a trip to build a bear and records a message into it
Eve goes to see Niko (Owen McDonnell), but is told that he discharged himself a week ago and Eve is told Niko said something about Poland
Villanelle gets onto a bus that Eve is on and they fight, Villanelle ask Eve to smell her and then kisses her, Eve headbutts her and Villanelle gets off the bus
Carolyn and Will stake out Charles and approach him but Villanelle is dressed as a policeman behind them
Eve tries to warm Carolyn about Villanelle, but she doesn’t answer her phone
Villanelle pulls them Carolyn over and shoots at them, but kills Charles
Villanelle goes to Konstantin’s house and tells him she shot Charles and says that she wants to find her family, since she saw the baby, she stole on the TV reunited with its father
Eve goes home to find the stuff teddy Villanelle made for her in her bed and listens to the voice recording over and over again
Considering we are only three episodes in not much has happened and I am feeling that the makers should have left at two series and that pains me to say, but this cat-and-mouse storyline isn’t so cat-and-mouse anymore and is getting boring! They need to spice it up a little, like reveal all of the 12 and Eve goes and kills them all alongside Villanelle. I think that the queerbaiting between Eve and Villanelle is becoming VERY obvious even though Sandra Oh in and interview said that there is no way, however having them kiss is more than an obsession, there is lust there too. I still do love Killing Eve and it holds and place close to my heart so I will watch the rest of the series, I just hope the pace increases!
