HUNTERS Episode 8 - RECAP 💎💎💎💎

(May Contain Spoilers)

This episode was not as exciting as the last one, but I did enjoy the plot moving forward. That being said I think that they could have made this series 8 episodes instead of 10 as it would have made it more impactful. The moment between Mindy (Carol Kane) and Murray (Saul Rubinek) was the sweetest moment and that’s why I gave the episode such a high rating, because it takes a lot for me to cry at something and I am that invested in their relationship it brought me to tears as it was done in such a poetic way.

What We Learnt:

· New York City is in chaos after the explosions and the lights have gone out – leading people to loot shops and fight, whilst Jonah (Logan Lerman) wanders around the streets lost

· Millie (Jerrika Hinton) Rushes to Meyer (Al Pacino) after what he said came true and releases him as he tells her about the Fourth Reich

· Lonny (Josh Radnor) returns to HQ and gets sewn up by Harriet (Kate Mulvany)

· Meyer brings Millie back to HQ and lets her join the group, which everyone else thinks is mad

· Jonah arrives back at HQ too and blurts out to Mindy I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry and she also bursts into tears, knowing he means that Murray is dead

· Murray has a proper Jewish funeral where the Hunter’s and Millie all attend

· Jonah rushes outside sick with guilt, but Meyer tells him about the guilt he feels from the war but says the story is for another time

· Mindy asks to see Jonah as she wants to know Murray’s last words and he tells her if was thank you lord and that he held out his hand (for his son) and this made her happy

· Millie goes to the hospital to find her mother on deaths door and has a conversation with Maria (Julissa Bermudez) about how Millie loves her, Millie mum basically says she hear and knew for ages and to follow her heart, accepting that she is gay

· Travis (Greg Austin) strangles Tobias (Jonno Davies) with his seatbelt after Tobias called him weak and Travis explains that he killed Tobias’ brothers too

· Meanwhile Biff (Dylan Baker) who is on the run from the cops who went to his house and found two dead bodies, calls a ‘friend’ to help him out

· The hunters go to Simons (Judd Hirsch) (also a Nazi hunter) and ask him for documents on Von Braun (Victor Slezak) as they think he is behind the whole thing. Simon does but says if they continue, they are hurting the Jewish heritage, but he gives them the documents

· With information on Von’s whereabouts, Joe goes scoping, meanwhile Meyer tells Jonah the story about how the Wolf got Meyer to kill Jewish mean in cold blood to save Ruth’s life and he killed 11 people, which haunts him

· Mindy after the funeral contemplates what to do with Moritz (Ronald Guttman), but after talking to herself, but has the illusion she is speaking to Murray he tells her everything is okay and they are happy and safe and to give Moritz mercy, so she shoots him once in the head

· Joe, Meyer, and Jonah go into Von Braun’s house and question him about the Fourth Reich and what the biological weapon

· Jonah gets angry when he doesn’t get a straight answer so begins to torture Von with electrical tongs and taking it to the extreme, so Joe pulls the plug and shots Von

· Von confesses that the solution will be put into corn syrup and distributed all around and be in everything.

This episode was highly emotion for the Mindy and Murray situation, but overall, the episode lacked drive and Jonah’s transition and story arch throughout the series has pained me, but I don’t know if that is the want from the makers. I just think he is an immature child and when you don’t want him to do something he does and when you think he couldn’t get anymore stupid or impulsive, he surprises you!
