Hanna - Episode 8 (FINALE) RECAP 💎💎💎💎

Wow okay there better be a series 2! I loved this series and I thought this episode was a great way to wind up this crime drama. (Although sometimes it’s referred to as Sc-Fi drama, but I don’t think it’s that prominent). I enjoyed seeing the main character has some resumption and half ending to their story if another series is not commissioned, however think there will be. Big spoiler alert coming - ERIK DIES! - Yep, sorry to say it but he does and Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles) buries Erik (Joel Kinnaman), which was a very sad moment. Another notable moment in the episode which focused on Utrax was the trainees that are like Hanna were very obedient apart from Trainee 249/Carla (Yasmin Money Prince) who was more self-aware and started to alter the persecution of other trainees, re-emphasised at the end.

What We Learnt:

• Erik tells Hanna about the Utrax and there are girls there like her

• Hanna tells Erik he is her dad in her eyes, and she wants to save the girls

• Erik takes Hanna to see her mother’s, Johanna’s (Joanna Kulig) grave

• Hannah seems to be more in control of the situation and Erik now than Erik does!

• Marissa (Mireille Enos) has kidnapped Jerome (Khalid Abdalla) and tries to get him to confess what happened with Utrax.

• Marissa gets Jerome to call the CIA at Utrax and say not to shoot Hanna

• Jerome causes Marissa to crash and tries to blow her car up but she escapes, unbeknown to him

• Hanna and Erik steal a bus and work their way into Utrax

• Trainee 249 or Clara has become more self-aware and begins to think something is wrong and talks to her trainee neighbour, 242 (Aine Rose Daly) through the wall

• Hanna and Erik cause havoc killing guards and let the girls out of their rooms

• Jerome who has escaped works his way to Utrax and is now with an army who try to kill Erik and Hanna and burn all the evidence

• Marissa gets to Utrax too

• Hanna tried to tell the girls that it is safe to go with her and they are free, but they don’t understand because they were not given orders

• Clara is now on Hanna’s side and then and Erik take down the rest of the guards and escape

• Jerome almost catches them as they do but Marissa shoots him

• Erik’s wound from Berlin causes him pain and he dies

• Hanna buries Erik next to Johanna’s grave

• The trainees of Utrax are on an aeroplane going to a new facility and Trainee 242 is now becoming self-aware too

• Hanna and Clara walk into the Forrest after burying Erik

This finale really wrapped up the series nicely but also left it open enough for there to be another series. I was so sad when Erik died but loved seeing Marissa’s story arch and now helping them bring the good guy and trying to save Hanna. The facility of girls and some breaking the chain and becoming self-aware is a new added cliff hanger. There were great action sequences and the orange cinematography those moments gave me ALL the feels!!! I really liked how Hanna has become more confident and really come into her own and I’m really looking forward to another series and watching the story progress more. Top series really enjoyed this watch!
