HANNA Episode 5 (2020) - RECAP 💎💎💎

I found the majority of this episode quite boring until the last 10 or so minutes. This episode we see Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles) get more integrated into her position and role within the Meadows. Marissa (Mireille Enos) is taken prisoner but escapes towards the end and tries to get Hanna to escape with her. The one question that wasn’t answered from season one and has come up against in season 2 is ‘who is behind ALL of this?’ I’m not sure quite yet how I feel about the prolonged concept of this all girls facility and it is on the verge of feeling like St.Trinians (2007) but with CIA trainees! Additionally, I would add that in this one episode Hanna goes from convincing other trainees that the facility is not real and they are being bred to be weapons, but after remembering Erik and feeling like she is connecting with him again through messaging she suddenly decides she wants to stay, that is a quick turn around.

What We Learnt:

• Hanna doesn’t agree with her life at the Meadows and still wants to escape

• Hanna is introduced to Terri (Cherrelle Skeete) who tries to put together her profile

• Marissa is being held captive by John (Dermot Mulroney)

• Terri realises in order to get Hanna to integrate more they have to acknowledge what has already happened to her with Erik

• Marissa enlisted help and they are on their way

• There is a game of find the flag and Hanna goes it alone and defeats everyone and sees Marissa’s help over the fence

• Terri messages Sandy (Aine Rose Daly) saying that her sister in is critical care and later dies

• Sandy’s sisters death results in Hanna remembering what it was like to bury Erik

• Hanna then opens up more about being part of the trainee scheme

• Terri messages Hanna pretending to be her father and Hanna starts to get attached

• Marissa escapes and goes after Hanna

• Hanna decides she doesn’t want to leave, but then goes along with it

• Marissa and Hanna go to find the passports Hanna hid but they set of an alarm

• Clara goes looking for them and after a tussle Marissa is shot in the arm

• Marissa is again captures and John says to Hanna that she is one of them now
