Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, Love Island (2015-) creators say they are still planning on filming this years series and hope to launch it on ITV2 late August. There were rumours about the hit reality show using a London location, however these claims have been shut down by Love Island bosses as an insider said the show, "is all about the sunshine and those skimpy outfits around the swimming pool as well as the sexual chemistry between the girls and boys".
Considering Love Island ran a winter edition I don't imagine people will miss the programme too much even if it didn't air this year as we only just finished having a dose when the finale ended on 23rd Feburary 2020! I think the show might find that giving a break would see people want it even more for when it does come back, however if the pandemic continues there won't be any filming anyway. We will just have to wait and see.
