Jeff Pope set to make a Coronavirus inspired short-form series for ITV

Jeff Pope is best known as the award-winning Producer behind recent feature Stan & Ollie (2018) as well as Executive Producer for multiple great British dramas, including Cilla (2014), Cradle to Grave (2015) and A Confession (2019-).

ITV Studios have commissioned Pope to create four, 15-minute episodes about isolation during the Coronavirus and to feature British talent, however the attached Directors on this endeavour are all male, Paul Whittington and Paul Andrew Williams as well as the writers including Pope himself, which is sad to see the industry not creating 50/50 oppotunities. The actors have yet to be announced, but it is known that they will be sent the latest i-Phones and directed from a far, keeping to the Governments guideline measures.

I am looking forward to seeing how these stories are turned around in a short period of time and using the latest technology to show that anyone can be creative in the small spaces they are inhabiting. Why not give it a go!
