I really enjoyed this Sci-Fi-Thriller, because it has a good balance of romance, action and story. I found the concept intriguing and felt that the message said something very obvious about the world we live in, but presented it in a stylish way, projecting wealth onto our screens in a different way.

In a world where everyone stops aging after 25 and time is literally money, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake), an ordinary working man is gifted with 100 years by Henry Hamilton (Matt Bomer), as his last dying wish. Will lives with him mum, but before he can get to her in time she sadly 'times out' (dies) in his arms. This tragedy spurs him to travel to New Greenwich (where the rich people live) to seek revenge. Will comes across Sylvia Weis (Amanda Seyfried) daughter to billionaire Philippe Weis (Vincent Karrtheiser), and a romance begins between the two. Whilst at a Weis party timekeepers (police), including Timekeeper Raymond (Cillian Murphy) come to arrest Will for stealing time after they discovered Hamilton’s body in the lake. Will manages to escape taking Sylvia as his hostage and returns to the Ghetto (the poor end of town).
When travelling back, Will and Sylvia are ambushed by Fortis' gang, who are a group of mobsters who steal time from people in order to live longer; they leave Will and Sylvia will 30 minutes

to live each. This sends Sylvia into panic as her wish to live her life to the edge has suddenly come true, but Will is used to living with less than 24 hours to live. The couple sell Sylvia's earrings in exchange for a day in time, Will uses this time to call Philippe to bargain a ransom for Sylvia's life, however, when it comes to exchanging her for the money Philippe doesn't come through! Will lets Sylvia go anyway, knowing he won't get back the time he lost, but she - who now has Stockholm syndrome and a vengeance against her father - stays with Will as they try to take the wealthy down, all the time behind chased by the timekeepers.
Finally, Sylvia and Will break into Weis loan banks to commit a Robin Hood act of stealing the time from the safe and giving it to the poor. It follows that, Will and Sylvia travel to see Philippe and steal 1 billion years from his safe, walking free and handing out these years to the poor. Raymond who is still chasing the star-crossed lover’s times out whilst holding a gun to them, Will and Sylvia almost time out themselves but manage to run to Raymond's car to download his salary time. Will manages to transfer some time to Sylvia before she times out in his arms similar book end to his mother’s death. The film concludes as the pair are across all TV screens reported to be wanted as they continue their good act trying to take down the wealthy and give to the poor.

I really enjoyed the concept to this film and is well worth the watch. The cinematography from Roger Deakins is sublime! I like the visual bookend as the mother and lover collapse into Will's arms as they come close to death. I think it is a great way to view societies hierarchies and the concept of losing time and not living life to its fullest is something to take on-board. A thrilling and timely look into the future.
